The Right Mattress Size For You

We’ve shown you many types of mattresses to fit your needs and lifestyle — from therapeutic, hypoallergenic, memory foam, and even a mattress with banig – but as we’ve also shared with you, there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all mattress, so you have to decide on the right mattress size for you. You don’t want to end up in a mattress too big or too small, and just like Goldilocks, you should have one just the right size for you!

Different mattress sizes

Skipping the crib size, the mattress sizes you should consider are the following: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Full XL, Queen, King, and the grand-daddy of them all, the California King.

  • Twin or Twin XL sized mattresses are perfect for people who sleep alone and those who live in apartments or condos that have limited space.
  • Full or Full XL sized mattresses are good enough to hold two people. I won’t say it’ll be comfortable with two people, for there’s a great chance that one of them will fall off the edge. It’s good enough for two kids, siblings in the same room sharing the same bed. But you don’t have to be a kid to be in one of these, especially for their XL counterparts. You don’t need two people to own a big mattress, you know.
  • Queen, King, and especially California King mattresses are mattresses to be occupied by more than one full-grown person. You can actually even fit a family of four onto one of these, but of course, not without the risk of someone falling off the bed.

I won’t go into much detail on how you should choose your mattress size, but I’ll give quick and meaningful principles that you can follow. If it’s too small for comfort, don’t choose it. If it’s too big that it makes you feel lonely, don’t choose it. Too much or too little of something is a bad thing – even in terms of mattress size! But honestly, who doesn’t like a lot of space to sleep on and occupy? However, remember that you have to factor in the mattress size your room is able to accommodate. Thankfully, Uratex offers numerous options on mattress sizes, types and designs to fit your style and budget.
